"THE TURKS" V 1.0

****INSTALLATION****

This scenario require the Fantastic Worlds add-on disc to run.

1. Create a new folder. I recommend that you call it "turk" and put it under the civ2 scenario folder.
2. Put all files except the wav-files in this folder.
3. Create a subfolder called "sound" in the "turk" folder. Put all wav-files in this folder.


****THE SCENARIO****

In case you haven't noticed, this scenario is about the rise of the ottoman empire. The ottomans was a turkish tribe which appeared in western Anatolia around 1280. 300 years later, they controlled almost every muslim country around the Medditeranean and Europe to Hungary.

This scenario starts in 1338 and ends in 1600, and you are supposed to play only as the ottoman turks since the computer is to stupid to play them. They ottomans begin with one city, Bursa, and many units. Your goal is to conquer as many objective cities of possible. Most objectives are in the Balkan Peninsula, Middle East and North Africa. There are two x3 objectives: Constantinople and Vienna,  obviously.


****ABOUT EVENTS****

Althrough the are many new events, they do not play a very important role in this scenario. Some of the things they do are:
- Forbids Negotiations between the ottoman turks and ortodox christians or arabs.
- Create special units like the sultan, the pasha, crusaders etc.
- Give you money when you conquer important cities such as Constantinople, Budapest, Mecca etc.
- Create barbarian units in Persia, Poland, France, Arabia and Africa.


***SPECIAL UNITS****

THE SULTAN - Leader of the ottomans, one of the best units in the game. You will get a new one when he is killed, but also lose 100 gold.

PASHA - Ottoman general-type unit. Every turn, there is one chance in ten that you get a new one.

GREEK FIRE - Two of these units sits in Constantinople just to make the city harder to capture.

KINGS AND EMPERORS - All capitals have one of these units. Since they have a high hit point value instead of a high defense value, they will be the last unit to defend the city.

MAMLUKES - You can build this powerfull cavalry unit after you capture Cairo.

PEASANTS - Partisans. Only Holy Romans, Spanish, City States and Magyars will get them.


***NOTES***

- New Improvments: Water Supply = Aqueduct, Mosque = Colosseum, Shipyard = Port Facility.
- The Empire Government is Communism renamed.
- Sorry, I didn't made any of the units, except for a few that was modified by me. Most of them are from Harlan's ancient units collection.
